The solar thermal panel is a device that converts the solar radiation in thermal energy and its transfer, for example, towards an accumulator for a following use. The solar panels works according to a very easy principle: catch energy that arrives from the sun to the earth and use it to produce hot water.

A thermal solar system is usually composed by a panel that receives solar energy, an inverter where circle a fluid used to transfer it to the tank used to store the energy. The system can have two types of circulation, natural and forced.

The solar systems at natural circle are cilynder block systems at closed circuit, that works without pumps and without electric component.

In the solar systems at forced circle the tank is separately assembled (on the attic or on the boiler room) and the liquid of the primary circle is pushed by a pump.

The benefits:

• lack CO₂ emission
• smaller need of infrastructures for the transport of energy from big distances
• lack emission of sulphur, nitrogen oxide and of pm10
• the indirect elimination of environment disaster
• lack of introduction of heat in the environment.

These types of solar installations are used to obtain hot water from the sun. This water can be used for sanitary aim, so for the personal hygiene, through house tap or for the shower, or to wash dishes, or for the washing machine. With a good solar installation is possible to cover more than the 80% of the year demand of hot water, stricking down the energetic expensives and the introduction of bad gas in the atmosphere. Italy is a country suitable for the exploitation of this technology, for the good solar exposition, but also for the typology of building trade that is adaptable to this technology.
